Adeyeye is reappointed by Buhari as the NAFDAC DG.

Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye has been reappointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for a second and final five-year term.

Adeyeye’s new term began on December 1, 2022, with the consent of the President being communicated by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha.

In a statement, Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, the NAFDAC Director of Public Affairs, observed that the DG’s reappointment followed a string of outstanding accomplishments and victories over the previous five years, particularly the achievement of World Health Organization (WHO) Maturity Level 3.

Adeyeye, who began her formal duties yesterday, was greeted by a few employees at the agency’s corporate offices in Abuja, according to the report, which added that she will be outlining her intentions for the second term after the holidays.
