According to police reports, the attackers of the INEC office were IPOB members.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, often known as IPOB, have been blamed by the Imo State Police Command for an assault on the INEC in Imo State.

Mike Abattam, a spokesman for the Command, said that IPOB members were among the shooters that assaulted INEC’s state headquarters.

Investigations into the incident, according to Abattam, revealed that IPOB members were responsible.

“They are believed to be Biafran Indigenous People. Those who will be considered complicit will be determined by the results of our inquiry.

“We pursued them hard. Three of them were neutralized as a result of the tactical teams from the Command being able to pursue them.

According to NAIJANOWELL, several unidentified gunmen stormed the INEC office in Owerri, Imo State.

No less than three suspects were killed as a result of the event that happened on Monday.
