A 5-Year-Old Girl Is Left Behind at the Osun River
|In Iwo, Osun State, government officials discovered a five-year-old girl abandoned by the Oba River.
The girl was discovered on September 29 and reported to the ministry by a good samaritan, according to a statement released on Monday by Jide Falade, the Coordinating Director for the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Affairs.
It also stated that attempts by police and Ministry representatives to contact the girl’s parents had been unsuccessful.
In order to help find the child’s parents or other relatives, Falade made an appeal to the general public.
