Super Eagles’ Defeat Against Guinea-bissau Was Unfortunate.

Tijani Babangida, a former Super Eagles winger, said the team’s Friday night loss to Guinea-Bissau by a score of 1-0 was unfortunate.

The game-winning goal was scored in the first half by Mama Balde.

During the game, José Peseiro’s team had several opportunities to break through the opposition’s defense but were unable.

Babangida said of the Super Eagles’ performance, “I am extremely pleased with the effort of the players and I believe they can get the job done in the reverse game in order to retake top spot in the group.

With the loss, the Super Eagles slipped to second place in Group A.

On Monday in Bissau, the two sides will square off once again.
