Odeegard Discloses To Whom He Was Told To Join Arsenal Football Club

Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, has admitted that Mikel Arteta persuaded him to sign with the club while they were sitting in 15th place in the Premier League standings.

Odegaard first moved to Arsenal from Real Madrid in January 2021 on a loan agreement. The following summer, the Gunners made the transfer permanent for £30 million with bonuses.

The international from Norway, who joined Arsenal from Los Blancos last summer and was given the permanent captaincy, has been crucial to their success.

Odegaard said in The Players’ Tribune, “I talked to Mikel Arteta on a Zoom call and he informed me everything about the initiative.

Arsenal wasn’t performing well at the moment. They were in the [Premier League] standings far down, like 15th, but that match… I really dare anybody who meets with Arteta to leave the conversation doubting anything he says.

He is top notch. It’s difficult to describe. He is ardent, passionate, and maybe a little insane… However, when he talks, you realize that everything he says will occur.
