Nicolo Zaniolo Officially Departs From Roma And Joins Galatasaray.

Galatasaray has made formal announcement of the signing of Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma.

The 23-year-old Italian attacker, who was desperate to join Milan, sought to push a trade away from the club in the January transfer window after becoming dissatisfied in the Italian capital this season.

The Rossoneri and Roma were unable to reach an agreement, and while Zaniolo later changed his mind about moving to Bournemouth, the Cherries had already moved on to other targets by that point. The 23-year-old was reduced to a supporting role in Rome as a result of the circumstance, and it became evident that his time with the team was winding down.

Zaniolo has officially signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Galatasaray, which can be viewed on the Turkish FA’s website. The stated value of the agreement is €3.5 million net each season with add-ons.

Additionally, Roma has a future resale option set at 15% that would pay them €5.25 million should the release clause be activated in his contract, which has a release clause set at about €35 million.

According to sources, Galatasaray will give Roma €16.5 million plus €13 million in add-ons, of which half are straightforward and others are more challenging.
