Josko Gvardiol Is Still Of Interest To Manchester United.

According to rumors, Manchester United is still debating whether to make a bid for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

United’s backline has excelled for a significant portion of 2022–2023, assisted by the summer addition of Lisandro Martinez and the return to form of players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw.

However, several veteran players’ playing time has been severely constrained due to head coach Erik ten Hag’s adoption of a philosophy where rotation is less common.

That goes for players like Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, who were both mentioned as potential Old Trafford exits in January but eventually stayed at United.

However, if rumors are to be believed, things may alter later in 2023, especially if United wants to generate money to make equal-for-equal adjustments to the defense.

Calciomercato reports that the Red Devils are considering launching a formal offer for Gvardiol before the next campaign.

The Croatian international defender, who is just in his second season with the Bundesliga club, is already one of the most sought-after backs in Europe.

The versatile youngster was often associated with Chelsea in the second part of 2022, and it was subsequently reported that the Blues still had their sights set on the 21-year-old for 2023.

The West Londoners, who made an astounding eight new recruits at the halfway stage of the season, have lately been less often mentioned as making a significant financial offer.
