Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, a former midfielder for Bolton Wanderers and a native of Nigeria, claims that Thomas Partery, an Arsenal midfielder, is the team member who has realized his full potential.

Partey transferred from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal in 2020 after the Premier League’s top team triggered his €50 million buyout clause.

The Ghanaian international struggled to adjust to Premier League expectations and missed a lot of games due to injuries.

With two goals in 17 Premier League matches, all of which he started, Partey has begun to live up to the expectations that made him one of the most sought-after midfielders during his time in Spain.

When asked whether he believed Partey was underrated by the public and the media, Okocha said to Wettfreunde,

“No, I don’t believe so. He’s been injured all of his career, but this season he’s finally able to perform to the best of his abilities.”
