Borussia Dortmund Is Still Hoping That Jude Bellingham Will Sign A New Deal.
Despite interest from a number of prominent European teams, Borussia Dortmund is apparently still optimistic that star midfielder Jude Bellingham would renew his contract with the team. Since leaving his hometown club Birmingham City in 2020, the 19-year-old England international has thrived for both club and country, and he is now one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world.

Bellingham has been mentioned in connection with the three Premier League teams from Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United as well as the Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid and the French champs Paris Saint-Germain.
The player’s future at Dortmund was to be discussed with the club’s management, according to a report from earlier this month, before the first-team team travelled to Marbella for a mid-season training camp.
According to the report, Bellingham will seek to leave the team at the conclusion of the current campaign, and Dortmund are 95% convinced of this.
However, Bellingham has not yet decided on his future, and Dortmund are willing to extend the midfielder’s contract, according to SPORT1 Chief Reporter Patrick Berger.
The adolescent will become BVB’s highest-paid player, according to Berger, but the club must first ascertain his willingness to dedicate his career to the Bundesliga team.
Bellingham’s deal with Westfalenstadion runs until the summer of 2025, and Dortmund estimates that Bellingham is worth about €150 million (£133 million).
Sebastian Kehl, the sports director at Dortmund, has acknowledged that the club hasn’t received any bids for Bellingham but maintains that doing so would be “dumb.”
Kehl spoke to Kicker and said: “Here, Jude has made some amazing progress. He has evolved into a true Borussian player who connects strongly with BVB thanks to the way he plays football, his battling spirit, and devotion.
“From a strictly sporting standpoint, it would be foolish of me to want to give up Jude Bellingham, but I am unable to determine today whether and when that will be the case with Jude.
“In due time, we’ll speak with him and his parents. There isn’t any pressure right now. Jude wants to give football his whole attention. Additionally, there are absolutely no offers.”
