With Barcelona, Dani Alves is preparing for his World Cup campaign.

Dani Alves has been given the opportunity to train with Barcelona ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Alves, who is seeking for a European training base to keep in shape before the tournament, will likely join the Brazil team in Qatar in the next weeks.

Following his contentious departure from Barcelona at the conclusion of the 2021/22 season, the seasoned full defender signed a 12-month deal with UNAM Pumas in July. Pumas approved the arrangement.

According to reports from Marca, Alves has reunited with his former colleague Rafa Marquez to practice with the Barcelona reserve squad.

Since taking over the Barcelona B team in July, Marquez has had a rocky start, winning only three of his first nine league games.

Alves will return to Mexico after the World Cup to finish out his contract there, according to Rafael Puente, the new head coach of the Pumas.
