What Julius Aghahowa Says About Holland’s 2–0 Victory Over Senegal

Julius Efosa Aghahowa, a former Super Eagles forward, has explained why Senegal lost to the Netherlands 2-0 in their first match of the Qatar 2020 World Cup.

Aghahowa claims that the African champions’ inability to capitalize on their opportunities lost them the game.

Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen of PSV scored the goal for Europe.

Aghahowa told Brila FM that Senegal “played extremely well but lost their scoring opportunities particularly in the first half.”

The Netherlands only had two and decided to gamble. That was the price for those squandered opportunities.
