UPDATED TRANSFER! For Chukwueze, Aston Villa Offers €40 Million

Aston Villa of the Premier League is persistent in their pursuit of Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Before Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, returned to England a few weeks ago, Chukwueze and the Spaniard were teammates at Villarreal.

The Nigerian international, who has previously drawn interest from Chelsea and Liverpool, is someone Emery is eager to work with again.

Aston Villa are willing to spend €40m to hire the quick winger, according to Football Insider via TMW.

Chukwueze may be tempted to be sold by Villarreal in the January transfer window.

For €500,000, the Yellow Submarine acquired the player from Diamond Football Academy in 2017.

The 23-year-old reportedly came within seconds of signing a deadline day loan deal with Everton last summer, but negotiations broke down at the last minute.
