Trossard, a Brighton star, discusses joining Chelsea
|Leandro Trossard, a midfielder for Brighton, hasn’t ruled out the prospect of joining Chelsea soon.
Trossard said that Chelsea had not contacted him about a possible transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The 27-year-old has been connected to a transfer to the Blues, where he would re-team with Graham Potter, the manager he played for at Brighton.
He has won a spot in the Belgium team for their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar, which starts in a few days, thanks to his efforts for Brighton so far this season.
Trossard, though, said the following to Het Laatste Nieuws when questioned about Chelsea’s interest in him:
Chelsea haven’t reported, in any case. Not with me, and not with Brighton.
“I need to watch and wait. I want to do well in Brighton and carry that momentum into Qatar.
