Real Madrid Manager Ancelotti Names the World Cup-Winning Nation

Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, has admitted that he will be rooting for Canada in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup in place of his own Italy.

Remember that despite their thrilling Euro 2020 victory last year, Italy was unable to earn a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after losing to North Macedonia.

Ancelotti has already turned his attention elsewhere in search of a side to support in the current World Cup in Qatar and has eventually decided on Canada.

Ancelotti said on Italian radio, “I will be supporting Canada in the World Cup as it hasn’t been there in a long time and is my second home.

“Everyone is rooting for Canada since the president of the Canadian Federation is from Abruzzo.”

In the meanwhile, on Wednesday night, Canada was defeated by Belgium 1-0 in their World Cup debut.
