In light of Marcus Rashford’s recent resurgence, Harry Maguire has insisted that the forward has the potential to rank among the best players in the world.

With three goals so far, Rashford is tied for the World Cup’s most prolific scorer. He has also performed well for Manchester United after a trying time.

It would be a “dream” for Maguire to see his teammate, 25, win the golden boot in Qatar, as reported by TalkSport. Maguire praised his teammate for playing with a smile once again.

I’m so happy for Marcus, said Maguire.

He is so talented that I doubt he will ever accomplish what his talent is capable of. He is so gifted that he might be among the best in the world, and I believe he should aim to be.

We had a difficult year as a team, and it affects people as individuals, not just Marcus at Manchester United over the past year or so. He is playing this year with a lot more freedom and an enormous grin on his face. We talk about him returning to his best, and I have no doubt that he will.
