Max Aarons is a target for Manchester United, and there are more transfer rumors.

Max Aarons of Norwich City is allegedly a player that Manchester United is interested in acquiring as they attempt to expand their right-back options.

Six new players joined Old Trafford during Erik ten Hag’s first summer as manager, and now attention is focused on the January transfer market. Prior to the start of the season, there was some anxiety over the right-back position; however, Diogo Dalot’s outstanding performances have made it less urgent to fill that position.

Ten Hag acknowledged that despite Dalot’s comeback in the position after United’s 1-0 victory against West Ham on Sunday that the Reds still need two capable right-backs who can contend for a starting place. The Dutchman’s first-team plans don’t seem to include Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but a well-known name has surfaced as a potential rival for the Portuguese full-back.

Aarons, who has previously been associated with the Reds, is reportedly on United’s radar after making an impression with the Canaries in the Championship. The 22-year-contract old’s is slated to expire in 2024, therefore Norwich may be keen to sell its defender before the conclusion of this season, when his contract will be up.

Ten Hag may be interested in signing Aarons given the chance that the full-back could be had for only £15 million after being cautioned against making large January transfer window purchases. Should a deal for Aarons fall through, United has been mentioned as a potential replacement.

Benjamin Pavard is unhappy with his present position at Bayern Munich, according to the German publication Sport 1 (via Sport Witness), and United has been mentioned as a possible destination for the French international.

In Saturday’s 6-2 victory against Mainz 05 for Bayern, Pavard entered as a second-half replacement, but the 26-year-old is hungry to start more games. According to the source, the Bundesliga club is not interested in giving him a contract extension through 2024 as Ten Hag looks to bring in his eighth manager-of-United signee.
