Man Utd and Chelsea players are among Barca’s 19 January transfer targets.

According to sources, Barcelona has 19 players on their radar ahead of the January transfer window.

 

The Catalan behemoths allegedly promised to add two reinforcements in the New Year as they compete with Real Madrid for the La Liga championship. And Xavi’s team is interested in players from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

 

Barcelona has only suffered one loss in La Liga so far this year, leaving the Catalan giants three points behind bitter rivals Real Madrid.

 

However, Xavi is under pressure in Catalonia as a result of his team’s inability to perform in the Champions League, and the five-time champions are likely to play the remainder of the season in the Europa League.

 

Barcelona has now promised to support Xavi with two acquisitions when the transfer market reopens in the New Year, according to Sport.

 

The La Liga giants are reportedly considering 19 individuals as they try to step up their game in the second half of the season.

 

One player they have their eye on is Diogo Dalot of Manchester United, who is having an outstanding season so far at Old Trafford.

 

The Red Devils are hoping to persuade the former Porto star to sign a new contract, so there seems to be very little likelihood of a deal at the moment.

 

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, both from Chelsea, are reportedly targets as well.

 

The Blues are not in a hurry to discuss a new contract for Kante, whose current agreement is set to expire this summer, as a result of the midfielder’s injury problems this season.

 

It would be difficult to sign Jorginho since he has been an important player for Graham Potter, just as he previously was for coaches like Thomas Tuchel and Frank Lampard.

 

Barcelona is a fan of Liverpool’s Fabinho, who thrived at Anfield after moving there from Monaco in 2018.

 

And Xavi isn’t the only Premier League star he’s keeping an eye on as he strives to succeed on the Barcelona bench.

 

James Ward-Prowse of Southampton is an unexpected target considering the midfielder’s long-standing transfer rumors.

 

Although Declan Rice of West Ham is respected, there seems to be very little possibility that the Hammers will sell him in January.

 

Rodri, a star for Manchester City, has had support from Barcelona as well, but unlike Rice and West Ham, it’s difficult to see him leaving in the middle of the campaign.

 

Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester is also being watched, since the Foxes have had a challenging start to the current campaign.

 

Despite the Wolves star’s failure to complete his desired transfer to Barcelona in the summer, Ruben Neves is still being linked to other teams.

 

Vanderson, Thomas Meunier, Stephane Singo, Sandro Tonali, Martin Zubimendi, Leon Goretzka, Juan Foyth, Guido Rodriguez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Dani Parejo are further objectives for Barcelona.

 

However, it is yet unclear who they will choose to hire this winter.

 

Xavi acknowledged his team hadn’t performed well enough in Europe this season following his team’s 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
