Lloris: Talk Of France Retiring Is Not Appropriate At This Moment.

Following France’s loss to Argentina in the World Cup final, Hugo Lloris claims that it is “not the time” to talk about his future in the international arena.

Argentina finally prevailed in a six-goal thriller, as the all-time leading appearance holder for the Les Bleus was unable to save any of the penalties he was presented with in the shootout.

It has been questioned if Lloris, who is now 35 and has been a member of France’s national team for 14 years and has been as captain since 2010, will remain among Didier Deschamps’ players.

The captain responded to TF1 by saying: “Now is not the time to address such questions. I think it will take time for people to process the outcome.

“Even though we accomplished a lot, it was a terrible night for all the players, staff, management, and fans.

This has to be a test for the future. Everyone will need a little time to process it.

Lloris also said that the France team gave it their all to win, praising the team’s improvement after halftime despite a lackluster first-half performance.

“We reacted too quickly. Almost like a boxing fight, we gave in blow for blow. The only thing we may be sorry about is that we could have missed our first half, he said.

“Despite everything, we persisted and kept on believing in it. It required a winner and was decided by penalties.

Being on the wrong side is harsh all the time. However, we will have given our all during this tournament. After over a month of competition, we fail to place.

“In this final, we might have lost after falling down 2-0, but we held on to our hope until the very end and managed to turn the game around. This is football.

“We must thank Argentina for hosting a fantastic tournament and final. We were acting too quickly, which may have changed the outcome of the game.
