Liverpool is “considering” signing Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig during the January transfer window.

According to reports, Liverpool is looking to fix their midfield problems and may move for RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer.

A portion of Jurgen Klopp’s team’s subpar start to the season may be attributed to their dysfunctional midfield, which has players who are either out of form or prone to injuries.

According to Sky Germany, the Reds are considering making a “major investment” next summer, but they are not willing to wait until then to recruit a new midfielder, and Laimer is on their wishlist for the January transfer window.

The contract of the 25-year-old player ends in 2023, and he reportedly wants to play in the Premier League.

The fact that Laimer has been out since September due to an ankle ligament issue is one worry for Liverpool supporters.

Laimer, who has played 167 times for RB Leipzig and scored 11 goals, is optimistic that he will return to action in January.

Since the beginning of the season, the Austrian international has also been connected to transfers to Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Laimer is a Liverpool supporter, which may provide Liverpool an edge over their competitors.

I normally like watching football, he added, according to statements published by the Liverpool Echo. I like watching the Premier League in general. I’ve always supported Liverpool.

Although he added: “I don’t believe a club like [Bayern Munich] comes knocking every summer, it’s one of the finest in the world,” the midfielder also seems eager to remain in Germany.

There is a certain pride in belonging to clubs like these. However, I’m more the kind of man that likes to speak to others and requires a sense that everything is in order.

Due to their 2-1 loss to Leeds, which put them eight points off of the Champions League spots, Klopp will be eager to strengthen his team.

With Henderson, Thiago, and James Milner in their 30s and Fabinho having just turned 29 years old, Liverpool will be keen to recruit younger players who can compete for spots on the first team roster.

While guys like Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, and Fabio Carvalho have all been gaining playing time but are seen more as players for the future, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have often suffered with injuries.

Additionally, it has been reported that Liverpool would make a “major investment” during the summer transfer window.

After Liverpool’s shocking loss to Leeds, which was their first in front of supporters at Anfield in the Premier League since 2017, the team’s supporters turned against its owners, Fenway Sports Group, for a lack of investment.
