With a stunning 11 assists already to his record, he has shown once again that he is a crucial part of the City machine with his third goal of the year. In a recent interview for a special video on City’s website, the 31-year-old has provided some insight into his thinking.

And he claims that being unafraid to make errors is a crucial aspect of his game. He also disclosed which specific statistic he doesn’t have time for.

He stated: “When individuals make errors, they often stop doing it. When I mess up, I give it another two tries.

“I believe it’s a technique for understanding where you make mistakes and how to improve them. Perhaps my perspective is different from that of others. For instance, the term “pass completion” doesn’t interest me.

“It’s not significant to me because it has no bearing on how I play football in any way, shape, or form. I don’t consider it, therefore.”

The winning statistics at the King Power seem to support it. Jack Grealish was the only other City starter to have a worse completion percentage than De Bruyne’s 86 percent throughout the duration of the game.
