He was really modest and unassuming, which is what I loved most about him. I could tell immediately away what a terrific man he was. He behaved the same regardless of whether he was traveling with us. He was fearless and offered all throughout every training session. I was watching him both on and off the field,” the German said.

Kroos said that the Uruguayan “is also extremely swift with the ball at his feet, he has a wonderful vision for a pass and has very strong in-game ideas” when asked about his attributes on grass.
