“I’m a great admirer of Valverde,” said Kroos.

Toni Kroos, a German midfielder for Real Madrid, gushed over his colleague and said, “If he continues like this, I don’t know where his limit is.”

Fede Valverde is the Real Madrid player that is receiving the most attention right now, and for good reason. The charra has already scored seven goals and contributed two assists, solidifying his status as a player who may usher in a new era in Chamartn. Everyone has taken note of the number 15’s performance, and his teammates even less so. Toni Kroos, together with his brother Felix, praised the player who looked up to the German midfielder as a youngster in their appearance on the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen.”

“I recall that it happened during the American tour for the 18–19 season. Because I was his hero, our physio advised me to keep a careful watch on [Valverde]. He was really modest and unassuming, which is what I loved most about him. I could tell immediately away what a terrific man he was. He behaved the same regardless of whether he was traveling with us. He was fearless and offered all throughout every training session. I was watching him both on and off the field,” the German said.

Kroos said that the Uruguayan “is also extremely swift with the ball at his feet, he has a wonderful vision for a pass and has very strong in-game ideas” when asked about his attributes on grass. His shooting has always been amazing, and his goals are now demonstrating that. Though more of a winger, he can also play as an 8. He will continue to play for Madrid for at least the next 10 years, in my opinion.

Last but not least, Kroos acknowledges that “if he continues like this, I don’t see any boundaries” regarding Valverde’s future. He is very whole. If at any moment he cannot find a way to use the ball, he takes it on and runs right towards the other team’s goal. I’m a huge Valverde fan.
