Garnacho, a player at Manchester United, messages Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been dubbed the GOAT (best of all time) by teenage Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho in an Instagram post.

Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two players who United forward Garnacho is a tremendous admirer of and who happens to be in a unique situation to get close to. The 18-year-old attacker used social media earlier this year to wish Argentina teammate Messi a happy 35th birthday. Garnacho published a photo of the two with the former Barcelona star along with a goat emoji in the story post.

He has now done the same for Ronaldo, a teammate from United.

In an Instagram photo on Wednesday, Ronaldo showed himself back in the gym as United got ready for their Europa League match against FC Sheriff on Thursday. After declining to enter as a substitute in a previous match against Tottenham, manager Erik ten Hag left the Portuguese out of the team to play Chelsea last weekend.

But he shared a photo of himself doing out at United with the comment, “Back on track, with the same passion and determination as always!” to his 492 million followers.

Garnacho just replied with three goat emojis to show that he views Ronaldo in a similar light to how he views Messi.
