David Johnson, a former footballer for Liverpool, died at the age of 71.
Only two players have scored in the Merseyside Derby for both Everton and Liverpool, including the former England striker.
Bob Paisley’s Liverpool team, which dominated the 1970s by winning four league titles and three European Cups, included Johnson, who had previously played for Ipswich Town FC.
Ipswich Town FC responded on their Twitter account on Wednesday, writing in a tweet:
