Australia attempted to score a last-second equalizer, but Argentina hung on and shared the victory with their supporters.

Lionel Scaloni, the head coach of Argentina, has chosen to start Julian Alvarez for the last two games.

Alvarez was replaced by Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez in the 71st minute by Scaloni.
Martinez had fresh legs and was able to get into good scoring positions. Messi set Martinez up well on several occasions, but Martinez missed the opportunities.
