Fabrizio Romano denies Barcelona departure rumors

Fabrizio Romano claims that Ansu Fati will not be sold by Barcelona.

The 20-year-old phenom, who took over Lionel Messi’s number 10 jersey at Barcelona, has already shown his ability to develop into one of the finest players in the game. Fati has had a lack of opportunities this season after missing over 18 months due to injury, save from the occasional appearance. He has participated in every Barcelona game, although he has only started five of them.

It has given rise to rumors that he dislikes working with Xavi Hernandez because he is eager for more action. Ansu’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was reportedly granted permission to search the player a new club as Barcelona looks to raise money this winter to continue their squad renewal.

Fabrizio Romano, however, has said to Caught Offside that this is untrue.
