Edin Dzeko decided to remain with Inter Milan despite taking a wage reduction.
The seasoned striker, who was out of contract in June, has agreed to terms for a new 12-month contract. There are now just a few small elements to work out.
According to L’Interista, the contract includes an option for an additional season.
Dzeko has also agreed to reduce his pay from €5 million to €3 million in order to be retained for the following term.
The Bosnian is anticipated to start writing shortly.
