Jose Mourinho Meets Spurs Players In First Training Session (photos)

Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Jose Mourinho has hit the ground running in is new role at North London. The former Chelsea manager is wasting no time in getting acquainted with his players as he is pictured in training with several spurs stars just hours after his unveiling.

Mourinho resumed duties immediately after confirmation of his role as the new manager of UEFA Champions League finalists, Spurs. The Portuguese tactician is seen rubbing minds with English midfielder Dele Ali and Club captain, Harry Kane, who may keep his armband under Jose’s reign.

Jose Mourinho replaced Argentine manager, Mauricio Pochettino as spurs manager officially on Wednesday after the Argentine was relieved of his duties by club chairman Daniel Levy few days ago.

As Tottenham hotspurs take a short trip across town to the London stadium to face rivals, West Ham in another derby match up. Jose is seen tasking up his players, getting them up to pace in anticipation of his first game since his departure as Manchester United manager in December 2018.

Mourinho will return to the dug out on Saturday’s early kick off as Spurs aim to bounce back from a disappointing campaign that sees the North London side languish in 14th position on the Premier League standings.

Mixed reactions has trailed Mourinho’s move to spurs with many socked by the former Chelsea boss decision to join the local rivals he once claimed he would never manage out of respect for the Blues.
