Why The EFCC Is Looking Into Tompolo’s Assistant

The Executive Director of Operations and Technical of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Warredi Enisuoh, was the subject of an inquiry, which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, clarified on Monday.

The private security firm run by former military commander Government Ekpemupolo, commonly known as Tompolo, said in a paper that Enisuoh was held and arrested by the EFCC because he refused to provide his intelligence sources to the anti-graft organization.

Enisuoh is now being investigated, although the matter is unconnected to oil pipeline security or his employment by Tompolo’s business, according to EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren.

The anti-graft organization said that Enisuoh is allegedly involved in a money laundering case involving the illicit misappropriation of monies from an account he holds but that is the focus of an ongoing investigation by the EFCC.

According to the EFCC, Enisuoh is being sued with Patrick Akpobolokemi, a former director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, for defrauding the Agency of a variety of financial assets.
