Tinubu Vows To Revive The Economy

Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, has promised to revive Lake Chad and the economy in order to combat young unemployment, inflation, and poverty in the area.

During the APC presidential campaign rally held yesterday at the El-Kanemi Warriors Sports Complex in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, Tinubu spoke.

He said that a revitalized economy will encourage individuals to work hard, be trustworthy, and be responsible.

Success is to return with fresh aspirations of reviving the economy, he added.

Together with his campaign companion, Sen. Kashim Shettima, he promised that his government will be “open and responsible” to the people.

“We’ll minimize the economic indices for a thriving economy of the nation,” he said, referring to the misery caused by insecurity, poverty, and unemployment among the populace.

He said that the country’s best instrument for overcoming its problems and a driver of economic development would be education.

He said that education is a tool for securing the future of kids in the nation’s six geographical regions.

APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu also spoke, boasting that the party will win the presidency by next Saturday.

He urged the populace to cast their ballots for Tinubu and Shettima in large numbers.

In support of Governor Babagana Zulum’s bid to win the gubernatorial election on March 11, 2023, he also gave him the APC flag.

Five candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Peoples Party (APP), and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) switched to the APC. During the rally, Adamu welcomed them.

Governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Inuwa Yahaya of Gome, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa were among the party chieftains present at the gathering.

In a related development, Tinubu has expressed sympathy for his hectic campaign schedule to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.

On Thursday, during his campaign rally at Mapo Hall in the state capital, Balogun made this statement in response to a message of apology sent to him, members of his Advisory Council, and other traditional rulers from the Oke-Ogun area of the state who were unable to see the politician despite spending hours waiting for him at the Oja’ba Palace of the Olubadan.

It was recalled that the traditional leaders had gathered at the Oja’ba Palace to receive the APC presidential standard-bearer, but he was unable to arrive at the location due to busy schedules and the enormous crowd that had gathered around Mapo axis, where the Oja’ba Palace is located, according to a statement signed by the Olubadan’s Personal Assistant (Media), Oladele Ogunsola, in Ibadan.
