Three-story Building On Martins Street In Lagos Is Destroyed By Fire.

Yesterday, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) acted quickly to save shopkeepers at 74 Martins Street, beside the LSDPC Building, Lagos Island, from losing all of their products to fire.

This is just a week after a fire incident at 5 Gbajumo Street, Balogun, Lagos Island, was recorded.

The fire was contained to the top level of the three-story structure where it was coming from by men from the Ebute Elefun, Oniru, and Alausa Fire Crews. The outbreak was first noted yesterday at 12:19 pm.

The structure is being utilized for textile storage and selling.

The event did not result in any casualties or injuries.

Two businesses were impacted by the fire’s intensity on the top level, nine shops were damaged on the second story, and three stores were affected on the third floor.

The incident’s cause was the subject of an urgent inquiry, according to Margaret Adeseye, director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
