The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna Command, said that it has detained 100 people and recovered 4,891.715kg of illegal substances in the state.
The arrest and the seizure were made in January, according to the State Commander, Dr. Braji Alhaji, who revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Kaduna.
Alhaji said that out of the 100 individuals detained, 92 were men and eight were women.
Indian Hemp weighing 3,888.426 kg, Heroin 0.006 kg, Cocaine 0.053 kg, Methamphetamine 0.0012 kg, Tramadol 4.482 kg, and other Psychotropic 998.736 kg were among the narcotics the commander reported as having been taken.
Alhaji said that the command will step up its campaign against drug use and abuse in the state. He urged locals to constantly provide the organization timely and meaningful information so that it could take action right away. He also asked guardians to keep an eye on their charges.
