Shooting On Plateau Results In Three Fatalities And Two Injuries.

According to reports, at least three people were reported dead on Sunday night in the isolated town of Maiyanga in Plateau State’s Mandar, Bokkos local government.

Two further survivors of the incident have been sent to a neighboring hospital for medical attention.

According to a source from Bokkos, several juvenile Fulani men reportedly entered the neighborhood on Sunday about 7:30 p.m. and began shooting.

“Five people were shot; three died immediately, leaving two others wounded,” the source said. Due to the remoteness of the place, no security officers have visited. A former police officer is one of the three victims that were shot. Nothing genuinely motivated the young men’s careless behavior. Nobody anticipated the assaults since everyone was simply chatting and hanging out until the Fulani youngsters with AK-47 rifles suddenly appeared, shocking everyone.

DSP Alfred Alabo, the Plateau State Police Command’s spokesperson, has not yet spoken, but Captain Oya James, the military operation’s media officer in Jos, has verified the occurrence. He said that the attackers entered a beer joint forcibly and began firing at the patrons.

Captain James said, “The assailants had left before the men of OPSH could reach the site.”

He said that the military was pursuing them in order to apprehend and punish the criminals.
