NEWS: INEC Employees Abducted While Traveling To A Collation Center Are Released
|The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) employees who were kidnapped in Zamfara’s Maradun Local Government Area on Monday have been freed.
On their route to the state collation center in Gusau, they were reportedly kidnapped near the hometown of Governor Bello Matawalle.
The officials were stopped and brought to an unidentified place when they were their route to present the results of the gubernatorial election for the Maradun local government.
Nevertheless, the INEC public relations representative for the state told reporters that the freed officials had left for Gusau to give the results.
