Nahcon Hires A Professionalizing Institution For Pilgrimage

In order to improve professionalism, manpower, and provide employment for the teeming youngsters, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commissioned an academic pilgrimage institution.

Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, said yesterday during the inauguration of the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN) that the new organization would guarantee that Nigeria remained at the top of the world pilgrimage and umrah business in terms of quality.

“More than ten years ago, there was a widespread worry within the Nigerian Ummah that the Hajj was an open invitation for everyone to participate, regardless of educational status. I took part in a process that was started by NAHCON’s leadership to professionalize the sector. I had no idea back then that I would be in charge when that initiative ultimately took off,” he remarked.

According to Hassan, the institution was founded to raise the caliber of labor in the hajj and umrah industry so that Nigeria could meet international standards.

“I think we can all agree that technology is developing quickly throughout the globe, and NAHCON must now stay up with these changes. We now need to concentrate our plans and adopt the most recent ICT breakthroughs as a result of this. Excellent pilgrim services powered by ICT are highly valued by the Saudi Vision 2030, which all Hajj organizations worldwide must aspire to. Due to this, HIN will provide a platform for training and research on a variety of Hajj and Umrah-related topics, including the use of technology to enhance our processes and services, he said.
