Makinde Exhorts Nigerians To Retake And Change The Country.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has urged locals to use the general election in 2023 to “take back Nigeria and set it on the road of justice.”

The governor emphasized that the next presidential election on February 25 would be unique because it was going to bring in a Nigeria that was genuinely independent. He also cautioned the electorate not to vote according to their emotions.

According to a statement made yesterday by the governor’s chief press secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the governor made this declaration at the Comfort Life Mission International in Ikoyi, Osun State, during its monthly 7-7 program.

With just two weeks till the presidential election, the governor asked Christians to make a decisive choice at the polls to take Nigeria back and shed light on the ostensibly shadowy aspects of politics. He said that now is the time for activity, not political correctness.

The suggestion that politics is a nasty game and that Christians should avoid it, according to Makinde, has been counterproductive. He noted that more Christians should become involved in politics and government in order to assist bring light to the shadowy areas of the globe.

The governor also said that throughout the previous four years, his government had improved the state and contributed to society in all four areas of the administration.

He listed the current Ibadan Circular Road project, which would take just a few minutes to get to the Comfort Life Mission offices, as one of many examples of the development efforts made by his government.
