Lalong Authorizes The Renewal Of The Plateau Head’s Contract.
The term of the state’s chief civil servant, Mr. Sunday Hyat, has been extended by the governor of Plateau, Simon Lalong, by four months.
Dr. Makut Macham, Lalong’s director of press and public affairs, confirmed the permission in a statement on Thursday in Jos.
The authorisation, according to Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, Secretary to the Government of Plateau, was given to allow Hyat to complete certain sensitive work and special obligations.
The state administration said that the extension, which runs from February to May 2023, would be on a contract basis.
Hyat was praised by Lalong, who also asked him to keep working hard to help the state civil service undergo comprehensive changes.
He said that the decision would make it easier for his government to transfer a thriving, motivated, and capable civil service for the state’s advancement.
He begged state civil servants to provide Hyat the necessary assistance and cooperation during the extension.
