Ibadan Is Rocked By Protests Over The Lack Of Naira.

Numerous bank customers demonstrated against the lack of new naira notes on Friday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. This issue has been raised in many Nigerian cities and towns.

Most bank clients who visited several banks in Ibadan on Friday to withdraw money were unable to do so.

The lack of money at many banks and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) stands has been complained about by numerous local residents. Even Point of Sales (PoS) operators have trouble getting money.

Many of them have been made redundant as a result, and other enterprises have been left for dead.

It was learned that Ibadan bank clients have been having trouble making cash withdrawals.

Recall that the newly redesigned N200, N500, and N1000 denominations were recently introduced nationwide by the Central Bank of Nigeria, or CBN.

The commercial banks were instructed by the apex bank to stock their Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) with the newly redesigned naira notes.
