Gov. Bello Is Praised By The Kogi Nlc For Paying The Promotion Wage.

The Kogi chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has praised Gov. Yahaya Bello for paying promotion salaries to Kogi State employees in honor of his seventh year in office.

In a statement made on Saturday in Lokoja, the NLC Chairman, Mr. Onuh Edoka, also congratulated Bello on his seventh anniversary of serving as the executive governor of Kogi State.

Edoka congratulated the governor for honoring the occasion by starting the promotion compensation for Kogi employees.

He thanked the governor for his kind gift toward the workforce and said that the NLC was looking forward to receiving the governor’s promised ongoing payments.

The NLC chairman commended Bello for paying state employees’ wages on time and consistently, stating that the NLC was very appreciative to him.

Edoka also praised the governor for kindly agreeing to reimburse state employees’ duty tour money from the federal government.

“The incredible infrastructural development that Gov. Bello’s government has accomplished has the workforce really enthusiastic.

We want the payment of additional welfare benefits owed to the employees, he added.

Edoka expressed hope that the governor will fully execute all of the welfare benefits owed to state employees before the end of his term, including the payment of leave bonuses.

He praised the legacy projects that President Mohammadu Buhari had ordered during his recent visit to the state, calling them “landmark accomplishments and a watershed in the history of the state.”

The governor’s backing was sought by the state NLC leader in order to complete the current NLC House project.

He said that the NLC House, which had been almost finished by the laborers’ efforts, still required the governors’ assistance to be finished.

Edoka expressed gratitude to Mr. Salami Ozigi, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, Auditor General, Alhaji Yusuf Okala, and Auditor General for Local Government, Alhaji Usman Ododo for their support and efforts in collaborating with Gov. Yahaya Bello to ensure the welfare of workers.

Edoka wished the governor well as he remained steadfastly devoted to satisfying the longings and ambitions of Kogi workers and congratulated him on his seventh anniversary.
