Fg Conducts Mineral Clinics To Stimulate The Economy.

Via the Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), the federal government has promoted the mining industries nationwide in order to diversify the economy.

It was also said that the purpose of the mineral clinic is to identify and address important problems that the Nigerian minerals and metals industry has, including a lack of geosciences data and expensive exploration efforts, among others.

During the presentation of the “Mineral Promotion, Sensitization and Dissemination Mineral Clinic” in Abuja, Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mines, told media that the clinic will help the nation’s economy grow.

Akinlade, who was in attendance and represented by Comfort Kabirwa, the director special duty for the ministry, said, “I am truly extremely delighted to be a part of the NGSA’s mineral clinic designed to give stakeholders a genuine opportunity to interact and be better informed on minerals in Nigeria.

“In my opinion, it aims to identify and address important problems that the Nigerian minerals and metals industry has, such a lack of geosciences data and expensive exploratory activities, among others.

“I am thus quite hopeful that by the conclusion of this event, we will all have a greater understanding of Nigeria’s mineral resources, which should enable us to make better economic choices for the benefit of everybody. Notwithstanding the numerous obstacles the sector faces, particularly in the area of finance, this agency has managed to make notable progress on a number of fronts.

She applauds Dr. Abdulrazak Garba, Director-General of the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), and the organization’s management for their productive mineral exploration initiatives.

The NGSA Director-General, Dr. Abdulrazak Garba, said in his comments that the NGSA educates all of its employees both domestically and abroad to improve the input and output of the Mineral clinic.

He said: “The Agency reorganized the mineral clinics in the six geopolitical zones as a result of the data supplied by NGSA, and it was a great success. Almost 400 prospective investors visited the mineral clinics in the zones, and more than 100 samples of rocks and minerals were free of charge examined with Hand-Held XRF.
