Ebubeagu Commander’s Wife Is Murdered In Ebonyi By Thugs.

The wife of an Ebubeagu leader was shot and murdered in the state’s Afikpo South Council, according to the Ebonyi State Police. SP Chris Anyanwu, the command’s spokesperson, informed reporters in Abakaliki that the thugs also set the commander’s home on fire.

Anyanwu said that the Ama-Etiti Amaoso Edda Youth Leader, Nnachi Mba, reported that the home of the Afikpo South Ebubeagu Commander, Oyeku Chima, situated at Owutu Edda, was assaulted at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday.

His wife was slain by the assailants, and his home was set on fire.

“The identity of the heinous act’s perpetrator has not been determined. According to the aforementioned Ebubeagu commander, it was one Okporie Ashango and his henchmen.

“The State Criminal Inquiry and Intelligence Department’s (SCIID) Deputy Commissioner of Police is to launch a quick investigation to identify individuals responsible for the assault, according to CP Aliyu Garba, the state’s chief of police.

“SCIID detectives and members of the tactical teams of the Command have taken control of the situation.
