Atiku Claims That The APC Is Attempting To Use Me Against Christians.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential nominee, claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power, is attempting to incite Christians to oppose him ahead of the 2023 general election by superimposing him onto the “picture of Jesus.”

The next elections are set to start on February 25 with the presidential, vice presidential, senatorial, and house of representatives races.

Other elections, including those for governor, are planned for later in March.

In a statement made accessible to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the PDP flagbearer said that the APC is attempting to incite the Christian community against him.

Atiku’s communications advisor, Paul Ibe, said in a statement that he had been alerted of a sacrilegious image of himself placed onto a picture of Jesus Christ, accusing the governing party of attempting to use religion as a political weapon against him.

He raised alarm about the picture that was allegedly going viral on social media and said that it was created by the government.

The former vice president claims that his opponents are acting like individuals who are drowning and would grab onto anything in a sinking scenario.
