1,570 Potential Corps Members Are Sent To Bauchi State By NYSC.

In preparation for the orientation activities for the 2023 Batch A Stream 1, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has sent 1,570 corps members to Bauchi State.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi received this information from Alhaji Namadi Abubakar, the State Coordinator of NYSC, on Friday.

He claims that at the state’s Permanent Orientation Camp at Wailo, in the Ganjuwa Local Government Area, the orientation for the corps members would start on January 25 and finish on February 15.

Abubakar clarified that the potential corps members would only be let into the camp if the Nigeria Center for Disease Control had confirmed that they were COVID-19 free (NCDC).

He said that registration would only last for two days and that individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 will be treated in isolation at the NCDC facility outside the orientation camp.

Each potential corps member has a registration date allotted to them, and they are urged to rigorously follow the COVID-19 safety regulations set in place by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the NCDC.

The Coordinator said, “Defaulters will be sanctioned in line with the NYSC by-laws.”

He gave the corps members advice on how to be prompt, industrious, and to wear appropriate clothing while at camp.

The coordinator emphasized, “Negligence of the NYSC dress code will not be allowed.”

Abubakar further said that the Government Girls Secondary School, Soro, located in Ganjuwa LGA, will host the orientation for all 1,205 potential corps members sent to Borno State.
