12 Almajiri Children Are Sodomized By A Gombe Man.

Usman Mohammed, age 40, was detained by members of the Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for enticing and sodomizing twelve young children, whose ages vary from five to ten.

Mohammed, a native of Liji in the state’s Yalmatu Deba Local Government Area, is said to have specialized in having sexual relations with adolescents.

While he was presented to the media on Tuesday at the NSCDC state headquarters, he said that his Islamic instructor in Kano exposed him to same-sex relationships when he was an 18-year-old Almajiri student.

The father of three begged the appropriate authorities’ pardon, expressing sorrow for his acts.

When I was 18 years old and living in Kano State, my almajiri scholar in Brigade taught me about homosexuality. I regret what I did, and I beg for your pardon,” he added.

According to the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Waziri Goni, who was quoting him and other suspects, during questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime and stated he was introduced to homosexuality in order to get wealthy.

One of the 12 boys who were reportedly sodomized is still at large, according to Goni, but the others are all accessible.

“Unfortunately, he hasn’t amassed much wealth. How can God favor someone who exploits young boys in such a way? He has a wife and three kids, but he takes joy in raping kids to get money, and he still cuts nails,” Goni claimed.

Goni bemoaned the prevalence of sexual assault while exhorting parents to take charge of their kids, saying that “nobody can take care of your children better than you.” Parents need to stop delegating their duties to others.
