According to NAIJANOWELL, President Muhammadu Buhari presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, when the much-teasing new Naira notes of N200, N500, and N1000 were introduced.

The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, issued a warning against hoarding the old notes during the unveiling, stating that the deadline of January 31, 2023 to totally make the old notes unusable still stands.

However, Senator Sani expressed amazement that the new notes had just undergone a color change. He revealed this in a succinct post on his verified Twitter account.

He noted:

“The CBN should have simply used Snapchat if it’s Naira color.”
