Yoruba Nation Agitators Attack Soldiers and Pursue a Rifle, According to Reports
|On Friday, November 4, several Yoruba Nation agitators attacked a group of troops in the Oju-Ore axis of the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government in Ogun State.
According to Premium Times, protesters attacked a vehicle carrying Nigerian Army officers as they were staging a rally.
Mayowa Aina, a local resident, informed the newspaper that the army had mobilized to control the situation.
“Several Yoruba nation agitators attacked some military soldiers in their truck,” Aina claimed at a protest near Oju Ore. They took a soldier’s rifle and disarmed him in the process.
Later, when there were many military personnel present, the populace panicked and many left their homes.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state’s police public relations officer, acknowledged the event and stated that the command is looking into it.
No casualties from the strike were reported, according to Oyeyemi.
We are looking into it, he declared. We were informed that agitators for the Yoruba Nation attacked some soldiers in the Ota region.
“In order to solve this problem, we are collaborating with the Nigerian Army. Though we haven’t made any arrests, we are investigating. There is no loss of life.
