Traditional leaders applaud Sule’s progress

Traditional leaders in Nasarawa State have praised the state’s governor, Abdullahi Sule, for building infrastructure all over the state.

Mr. Haruna Umaru, the district head of the state’s Betti, Karshi Development Area, noted that the current administration’s construction of rural roads throughout the state would reduce poverty and rural-urban migration while also enhancing the lives of rural residents.

In their palaces in Betti, Nike, and Angwan Toni of the state’s Karshi Development Area, they spoke with reporters on Saturday.

They applauded Sule for continuing to build the nine-kilometer Gauta/Nike road, which will improve the socioeconomic activities of the locals.

When the road was finished, according to Umaru, it would increase agricultural production, increase the local economy, and raise the standard of living for residents of the region and its surroundings.

He said, “We thank the governor for helping us as the road’s construction will increase our socio-economic activities and standard of living.”

Additionally, the village chief of Nike, Alhaji Abdullahi Bala, stated that thanks to the road’s construction, traveling from Keffi to Nike no longer takes more than two hours.

The building of this road, according to him, “will not only increase agricultural production but also increase our people’s socioeconomic activities and revenue base.”

The village chief of Angwan Toni, Mr. Abdullahi Mairiga, also thanked the governor for raising the area’s standard of living through the building of the road.

The state house of assembly representative for the Uke/Karshi Constituency, Mr. Mohammed Isah Bello, was also praised by the traditional leaders for his contributions to the growth of the constituency.

In order for development to flourish, the traditional rulers further urged their subjects and other people to maintain peaceful coexistence.

The governor was requested by the traditional leaders to provide Nike Primary School with electricity, water, health services, and more classrooms.

The Fulani leader in the Nike community, Mr. Adamu Soja, also thanked the governor for building the road and urged him to build a nomadic school in the area.
