Through agriculture, I will transform northern Nigeria, Peter Obi

If elected president of Nigeria in 2023, Labour Party, LP presidential candidate Peter Obi has pledged to transform the Northern area of Nigeria via agriculture.

Obi made this commitment on Friday at a virtual meeting with Labour Party backers.

I’m going to transform the area, he said. Respected Nigerians from the North have controlled our nation, yet the ten poorest states are in that area, thus we need to develop arable land there.

Obi made a commitment to concentrate on the North because of the area’s tremendous potential, which has to be realized.

He said, “Our economic issues, which are the result of bad leadership, do not discriminate on the basis of religion or ethnicity.

The leadership of the nation, according to Obi, shouldn’t keep using the same strategies that are ineffective.

Nowhere in Nigeria, he said, does a person get a discount on bread because they are a Christian or a Muslim.

The Labour Party candidate advised voters not to base their support for him or any other 2023 candidate on their ancestry or religion.

Obi stated his credentials and antecedents are subject to examination and noted that he is the most qualified candidate for the presidency.

I am the first governor in the history of Nigeria who served for eight years, left money behind, created infrastructure, and had no debts to contractors, salaries, or pensions, he said.

According to him, “the North will constantly stay thankful,” he stated.

Obi said, “The area has the worst school abduction record internationally, the most out-of-school children, and the worst rate of young unemployment.”

“(The) 2023 election must be on competence, character, and what you done previously, not entitlements based on religion or ethnicity,” he stated.
