The pay increase for judicial officers has been approved by President Buhari.

A higher wage and benefit program have been authorized by President Muhammadu Buhari for Nigerian judicial officials.

The President made this announcement on Friday, November 18, during the opening of the Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Campus at the Nigerian Law School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Abubakar Malami, SAN, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, who attended the event in Buhari’s place, said that the enhanced welfare program for judicial employees and numerous other initiatives are intended to significantly increase the capacity and independence of the judiciary, which continues to be a pillar of strength and stability for our democracy.

He reportedly said: “Let me also use this opportunity to let you know that as part of the endeavor to improve the welfare of judicial employees.

Recently, the President authorized an improved compensation and benefits plan for judicial officials.
