Police Refuse to Take Student Who Insulted Aisha Buhari into custody

According to the Jigawa State Police Command, it had nothing to do with the arrest of a Federal University, Dutse 500-level student.

According to reports, Aminu Azare, a student, was detained after sending out a tweet that seemed to make fun of Aisha Buhari, the first lady of Nigeria.

“Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi” is the translation of the tweet, which was written in Hausa and included a picture of the first lady. It translates “The mother has become fatter by consuming money from the people.”

Aminu was purportedly detained by DSS agents shortly after the post, which sparked an outcry on social media from Nigerians against the DSS and the first lady.

The DSS spokesman, Peter Afunnaya, was reportedly unable to contact since neither calls nor messages left on his phone were responded, according to Punch.

The police public relations officer for the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu, claimed ignorance of the arrest.

“The arrest wasn’t made by us. In my neighborhood, no arrest may be conducted without first informing me, according to The Punch.

Inibehe Effiong, a lawyer, was one among many who criticized the DSS over Aminu’s alleged detention.

You are protecting Aisha Buhari because she is someone’s mother, he tweeted. This is a ridiculous argument. Due to the Buhari administration’s inefficiency and brutality, many Nigerian children have lost their moms. Due to corruption in the handling of monies intended to fight terrorism, thousands of children have become orphans.
