Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has explained his reasons for declining to hire a girl as his private secretary.
He said that if a woman made an accusation against a guy, everyone would take it as gospel truth and would not believe the male.
The well-known cleric warned young and old pastors to avoid fleshly lust while speaking at the July Holy Ghost Service, “Swimming in Glory: Born to be Great,” held at the Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Mowe, Ogun State on Friday night.
The advice might not be unrelated to the recent accusation of rape made against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) by famous photographer Bukola Dakolo.
“I know you’ll say I’m old-fashioned, and I agree,” Adeboye said. When I said that I didn’t want a female private secretary, they responded with that.
“They will listen to the woman, not the male, when she accuses you (the man) of abusing her.
Despite being outdated, I was ordained in 1975 and am still alive. I have not spoken at all.
